After an edit

After an asset is edited, if the asset has any alarms, the alarms will be updated to the new details. This process may take a minute.

Creating Assets

Before creating a new asset, check to make sure it doesn’t already exist. Duplicate assets are not allowed. An asset is considered a duplicate if the name, type, and location match. You will be prevented from creating a duplicate asset.

Use Components to clarify that an alarm is for a part that is contained within a larger piece of equipment. See the KB article, What is a Component? for more information.

From an Alarm

To create an asset from an alarm, in the Select Asset modal, click the + icon. The asset select screen will close and the create asset experience will load. Complete all fields and save. Once created, the asset will be assigned as the asset for the alarm.
