There are many uses for the Alarm Activity (Last 14 Days) report, below are a few common scenarios.
Work Coverage
We define work coverage as an alarm either having or not having a work ticket associated with it. Before looking at work coverage - first filter your report to "Alarm = Active" to only view alarms that are currently active (or leave as is to see both active and inactive alarms). Next, look at the Work column. If there is a work id (ex: W100) listed in the Work column, this means that the alarm has a work ticket associated with it. Note - it is possible for the alarm to have multiple work tickets. This could indicate either duplicate or repeat work.
Nuisance Alarms
Nuisance alarms are alarms that go in and out without anyone needing to take any action. Generally, these alarms need a sensor threshold updated or some other "administrative" action to resolve. To get a list of nuisance alarms, select "Filters > Nuisance = True". Don't forget, you may also update your Alarm Time to get a list of nuisance alarms over a specific period.
Exporting Data
Once you have set the filters and columns for your report, select "Export". You will see a message letting you know that your report is being prepared. If your report is more than 10,000 records, the first 10,000 records will be exported - you may want to consider adding additional criteria to your report.
Once the file is ready, your browser will alert you - the file will either be saved to the folder that you have set for browser downloads or you will be prompted to select a folder to save the .csv file to.
Common Use Cases for Exporting Data
You may have a third-party analytics tool that you use (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to generate various reports. You can now export alarm data to use in that dataset.
You may have an event that occurs over a weekend or after hours, you can export all the alarms that occurred in a given time frame for analysis by stakeholders that are not usually logging into Virtual Facility.
