Key Changes and Enhancements
Name Change to "Snooze"
The "Shelved" status will be known as "Snooze." This change reflects our commitment to clarity and user-friendliness. You will see a new system lens titled “Snoozed”.
New Functionality with Snoozed Alarms
- Set an Expiration Timer: You will have the ability to set a timer on the Snoozed status, allowing for better management of alarms.
- Add a Reason: Users can add a reason for snoozing alarms (Ex: Generator Testing - will return to normal after test complete), providing context, and facilitating communication within your team.
- Cancel Snooze: We are introducing the ability to cancel a Snooze at any time, providing greater flexibility and control over alarm management.
Improved Decline Functionality
The decline feature will allow users to provide a reason for declining alarms, fostering better understanding and collaboration among team members. The reason can be required or not, depending on your organization’s process. View decline reason by clicking "Decline" in the change history record in the Alarm Slideout under Details > Change History.
The key difference between Snoozed Alarms and Declined Alarms is the ability to set a timer. A snoozed alarm will be snoozed for only a set amount of time - if the alarm is still active at the end of the snooze, the alarm will appear in your Active Alarms/Intake lens. A declined alarm will remain declined until the next occurrence, at which point it will appear in your Active Alarms/Intake lens.
We believe these enhancements will significantly improve your experience with Virtual Facility and streamline your alarm management processes. If you have any questions, reach out to support@vfacility.com.
