Special Note:

Happy New Year! Even though we took time off over the holidays at the end of 2021, we were also very busy working behind the scenes to prepare the foundation for a successful 2022 and beyond. This set of release notes has five releases combined within it from this period of time. These releases built on each other to deliver the framework for two new major features as well as a number of significant UX/UI and back-end improvements for enhanced scalability and performance. Many of these were identified through user feedback, so we thank you for your continued engagement!!

New Features:

  • Teams - It is finally here! This new feature is designed to allow customer admins the ability to organize their users by functional teams within their organization. Version 1 (beta) of this feature is now live with the ability to organize based upon location-based teams. By organizing your users, you can further limit the alarm data that they have to see, thereby reducing distraction and creating more focus for them. While this foundational version of Teams brings new power to create more focus for teams, it is just the beginning. Future enhancements of this feature will bring additional power and capability in the future. So, stay tuned and submit your feedback on this new feature, please!! Note: While the effects of Teams can be enjoyed by all, this feature is limited to admins to configure for their teams.

New Integrations Supported:

  • JCI Metasys API v3 (available for Metasys v11+)
  • Siemens Desigo MP5.1

Experience Enhancements:

  • The UI framework received a major update. This should cause an overall improvement in the UI's performance, but most especially because the periodic data refresh is a thing of the past and will no longer interrupt your long duration data dives. We are super excited about this simple improvement for the user experience!
  • Less time waiting on your data! The database that holds all the alarm and work data received a major update. Data loading times should be dramatically increased, especially for large customers and data-intense analytic reports such as the Work Resolution Report.
  • The Alarm Impact Report has been upgraded! Improvements include:
    • The Lookback Window now scales according to the reporting period that you select.
    • The configuration controls have now been consolidated in the upper right corner of the graph.
    • The reporting period selector has been relocated above the graph to create more space for the graph. The lookback period is now clearly defined beside the reporting period selector.
    • A data table has been added below the graph to allow you to deep-dive into the data being summarized in the graph.
    • Alarm and work attributes are now available in the new filter controls on the upper left side of the graph that allow you to focus in on the specific alarm and work data that you want to analyze.
  • A new Attribute called Space Type has been added! This attribute is designed for you to be able to categorize your spaces by general type or usage and can be found in the Alarm Details section of Triage/Explorer with the other attributes. This allows another level of filterability on the data so that you can group alarm data in bulk for troubleshooting and other analyses. Note: This attribute is not automatically parsed by the ML algorithms. It needs to be set by a human.
  • Siemens' alarm priorities will now be automatically mapped to the attribute called BAS Priority in Alarm Triage in the same manner as the JCI Metasys priority is done. This allows users to be able to sort/filter by this value for bulk editing, lens creation, etc.
  • Alarm notes now have a little chat bubble icon beside the entry in Alarm Activity log. This makes the notes much more visible so that they stand out to the user as they are scrolling through the Alarm Details section.

Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved a bug that effected some attempts to filter work data by "Creator" that led to a frozen loading screen.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes a deleted lens would still appear in the side navigation bar.
  • Resolved a bug where some BAS Priorities wouldn't show up in the filters or in the table view of Triage/Explorer.
  • In Table view in Triage/Explorer, Alarm Source data would randomly disappear from cells. This issue has been corrected.
  • Resolved a bug that impacted bulk edits in the table view of Triage/Explorer. Sometimes, selecting multiple alarms for bulk editing could select additional alarms by accident.

Known Issues:

  • N/A

Coming Soon:

  • Automation Rules Engine
  • Further improvements to the Alarm Impact Report
  • Improvements to the Alarm Frequency & Duration Report
