How can I see all alarms in a lens for which a result set row limit is being applied?

Virtual Facility limits the number of alarms that are displayed in some lenses in order to keep loading times short and reliable. If a lens is being limited, users will see a message at the top of the table indicating that a limit is active.

To view alarms that are not displayed in a limited lens, users have two options:

Export alarms

Click the Export button in the upper right to download a CSV file containing all alarms in the lens. This file does not have an alarm limit like the table view of the lens does.

Refine lens filters

Adding more specific filters to a lens can reduce the number of alarms displayed.

To edit a lens, click the lens name to set it to the active lens, then hover over the lens name, and click the pencil icon.

To add additional filters, in the Filters section next to the green plus sign, select an alarm property from the dropdown. Choose either "includes" or "excludes" then add the filter values. Click Save to update the lens.

Below are some examples of common filters used to narrow down lenses:

  • By BAS/Integration:  Add a filter for "Alarm Source" and select the specific alarm sources.
  • By Building:  Add a filter for "Location - Building" and select the specific buildings.
  • By Priority:  Add a filter for "Alarm Priority" and select the specific priorities.
  • By Category:  Add a filter for "Alarm Category" and select the specific categories.
