Overview
During the winter release cycle, Virtual Facility expanded the foundation for reporting, alarm visibility, and role-based workflows. These updates made it easier for teams to review operational performance, reuse analytics configuration, and act on alarms from the context of an asset.
Reporting and Analytics Foundation
Existing reports were migrated into Looker, creating a stronger foundation for modern analytics. New operational metrics for Repeat Work, Time to Complete, and SLA tracking were also introduced, giving teams better visibility into how work is created, completed, and measured over time.
Role and Workflow Improvements
The standard role evolved into a Dispatcher role with clearer workflow responsibilities, including support for decline-alarm behavior. A dedicated Analyst role was also added to better support users who primarily work with reporting and analytics.
Asset and Alarm Context
The new Asset Alarms tab brings asset-level alarm context and history into one place. Users can now review related alarm activity from the asset view and take faster triage actions directly from the Asset slideout, including one-click decline behavior for related active alarms.
Cross-Team Analytics Reuse
Users can now clone lenses across teams. This makes it easier to reuse proven analytics configurations, standardize reporting views, and scale useful operational insights across the organization.
Integration Enhancements
Winter also introduced early integration groundwork for Mex 16 (CMMS) and advanced iMonnit (alarm source) support through backend wiring, normalization, exporter support, and alarm metadata parsing. These updates expanded the platform’s ability to connect alarm and asset data with external systems.
Usability Updates
Slideout workflows were improved with general user experience refinements and a Return to Previous action for easier navigation. The Activity view was also updated to make Intake more visually prominent, helping users review operational activity more quickly.
