Overview
Fall releases to date have focused on making Virtual Facility more context-aware, more dependable in daily workflows, and easier to configure for customer integrations. The highest-impact updates center on Otto AI, AI-Insights, CMMS synchronization, WebTMA 7 onboarding, alarm workflow reliability, accessibility, and dashboard navigation.
Context-Aware Otto AI
Otto AI is Virtual Facility’s AI assistant for answering operational questions and helping users understand alarms, assets, and work context faster. Otto AI can now understand more of what a user is looking at, including the active lens, open alarm or asset record, and the customer timezone. This enables more useful record-scoped conversations from slideouts, lets users ask questions in the context of the item they are already reviewing, and makes relative-date questions such as “today” align with the customer’s configured timezone instead of the user’s browser.
Otto AI Reliability and Answer Quality
Otto AI reliability improved across reconnects, model failures, streaming behavior, chart and table rendering, and light/dark theme readability. Updates reduced fabricated counts, removed misleading failure banners, prevented raw reasoning and internal schema details from appearing in chat, improved priority labels, and made Otto AI available while slideouts are open.
AI-Insights Accuracy and Performance
AI-Insights gained better support for alarm analysis, served-space relationships, priority labels, upstream-cause context, null handling, invalid filter-value handling, and selective alarm query performance. These improvements help users get more accurate answers and reduce timeout-prone behavior when asking contextual questions about alarms, spaces, and equipment.
CMMS and Work-Order Integration Reliability
CMMS integrations improved across TMS, Maximo, and WebTMA 7. TMS large asset-category retrieval now handles oversized SOAP pagination scenarios more safely, Maximo assignee synchronization no longer churns repeatedly on open work orders, and daily domain-value synchronization now removes inactive options only after safe full-sync completion. These updates reduce invalid dropdown choices, sync noise, and integration failures that directly affect customer workflows.
WebTMA 7 Onboarding and Field Clarity
WebTMA 7 setup is easier through template-driven defaults, added Account # and Requestor Name fields, clearer code and description visibility for similar field values, parent-child relationships for Facility, Building, and Equipment, normalized comments handling, and support for labor and task comments. Together, these changes reduce setup time and help teams capture better work completion context.
Alarm Workflow and Automation Reliability
Alarm and automation workflows received several customer-visible fixes, including restored keyword-based automation previews, corrected snoozing for alarms with blank asset values, improved related-alarm grouping, accurate Last Triage Reason display, and cleanup of stale triage state between alarm lifecycles. These updates make day-to-day alarm handling and rule configuration more trustworthy.
Dashboards, Reporting, and Navigation
Dashboard and reporting experiences improved through analytics landing-route fixes, nested dashboard route handling, Looker-backed saved-view rename propagation, restored customer-name warehouse sync, lower-cost warehouse refresh behavior, and reporting/export improvements. Users should see fewer broken dashboard paths and more reliable reporting data after these updates.
Accessibility, Mobile, and Platform Readiness
Fall updates improved dark-theme error text contrast, Otto AI light-theme readability, chart accessibility, and mobile release readiness. The VF Android app now targets Android 16, keeping production updates publishable under current Google Play policy while preserving ongoing mobile delivery.
