Setting up Command Center on a Shared Monitor

The features in this article are available only in Enterprise Edition.

Background

Command Center provides a summarized facility status. Because of this Command Center uses sockets to update as changes happen and makes a great dashboard view for a shared monitor.

Set Up

  1. Create a user with minimal access privileges (Vendor Role) and assign them to a team that can view Command Center.
  2. On the computer that is serving up the shared monitor, login with that user and navigate to the Command Center.
  3. Star the Command Center page so it is defaulted.

Since the standard session timeout is 30 minutes and Command Center auto-refreshes using sockets, no further action is normally required. Note that it is possible that Command Center will lose its session due to a network outage or scheduled maintenance, requiring a user to reauthenticate.
